Praise N' Motion Dance Center came from the mind of Artistic Director and co- owner, Michelle Thomas. Her mission was simple. Effectively minister the word of God and the principles of positive living to his people by relaying his vision through the art of music, dance, and dynamic spiritual interpretations.Bringing ministry and a wider range of dance technique together can only enhance the message and reach an even wider audience. Praise N' Motion's motto is "To dance is a gift, but to minister is a Passion. Our Passion for God can only enhance our gift!"
Cassandra Thomas, Co-Founder & Owner
Founder and Director of Praise N' Motion Dance & Performing Arts Center and Dancer's Touch Retail Dancewear. She has directed several local plays throughout the city. Dance Ministry leader and Director of the Drama department at Forest Lawn Church. Her love for theater and the Alvin Ailey dance style gave her the vision of Praise N' Motion.
Michael Thomas, Co-Founder
Founder of Praise N' Motion helping to fulfill our vision to provide affordable effective dance lessons to children and adults. Aiding in theatrical production, set building and studio renovations. Martial Arts instructor. Past president of the International Brotherhood of Magicians.
Tanisha Wilson, Artistic Director / Instructor
Discovered her passion for dance and started formal training at the age of 13. Studied Master Classes with Brian Friedman and Leslie Scott. Currently pursuing a BA degree in Dance Education at the University of Houston. She has worked with The University of Houston Dance Theater Ensemble. A certified fitness instructor and loves to teach people how to get fit while having fun through dance. Tanisha shares her passion for God through dance teachings at praise dance conferences throughout the country and believes that just as long as you have movement of your limbs anyone can learn how to dance!
Rosa Williams, Instructor
Jaquandalyn Brown, Instructor
Enthusiastic, fun-loving and determined, Jaquandalyn Brown is a native Houstonian who has danced most of her life. Jaquandalyn attends St. Luke MBC where she is actively involved in the youth ministry. She teach ballet, jazz and tap (3-5s) and children praise dance.
